Our first in-person workshop was a success!

Since the conception of Pathway to Med in 2020, we have operated entirely online. We were therefore very excited to be invited to speak at CEIM's (Confront Education Inequality Mentoring) poster presentation afternoon.

CEIM are an initiative at Imperial College London who work with students from Ark Academy in London in order to wider access to higher education and spark interest in the world of science!

Students were presenting what they had been working on with CEIM for the past few weeks and were then given the opportunity to join us for an hour if they were interested in a career in Medicine.

We talked through the application process, life as a medical student and discussed the realities of a medical career. The floor was opened for questions with a panel of medical students - in a range of years, graduate entry and undergraduate entry from both Imperial College and the University of Nottingham.

We hope we answered all your questions! If you are still left wondering about anything or want to speak to someone you met at the workshop in particular, please email us at pathwaytomedmentoring@gmail.com or leave a comment below.

We are also very excited to be invited back this April to speak to the latest cohort of students! Is in-person something more people would be interested in? How could we incorporate it in a way that would work best for you? Let us know in the comments!
